Ahhh, you guys! I’m so excited to be sharing this with you– and by you, I mean I wrote this specifically for NCAA student-athletes, but believe me, it applies to everyone! This has been in the works for a few years and even though the real deal won’t be released until the end of the year, I felt like this was the perfect way to serve you as much as I could during these uncertain times– inspiring, encouraging and challenging you along the way to set you up for success. So here we go!

What does it mean to live like a champion? As a lifelong athlete and firm believer in the life lessons and opportunities that sports provide, I know what it takes to be a competitor on and off the field. With my background as a Level 10 competitive gymnast and a Division 1 collegiate track and field champion, I’ve taken the same principles I used to excel on the field into the workplace. I know that collegiate athletes have the foundation for success wrapped into their sports DNA, but aren’t always sure how to apply it outside of sports or where to start when their sports career is over. With a broad range of topics that include interviews from college athletes, coaches, Olympians and more, I dove into what it means to take a winning mentality beyond the field and into the workplace with personal experiences, tangible advice and takeaways for transitioning into a new unfamiliar community and routine.

I’ve got so much in store for you and can’t wait to meet you guys!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A multi-passionate creative entrepreneur, Lori Brazier aims to inspire in everything she does. She is a certified, award winning interior designer, has published a children’s book, and loves to travel, write and paint. Her lifelong relationship with athletics and fitness has been ingrained into everything she does and understands that college athletes need guidance post graduation, but would be a step ahead if they were prepared before it. Live Like a Champion gives collegiate athletes a better understanding of what life is like after that graduation cap and tassel have been tossed into the air in celebration. The real life lessons, examples and guidance of what to do when they’re not practicing 25 hours a week anymore– the things no one tells them when they’re no longer a college athlete and they’re finally heading into the work world. With this as their guide, they’ll learn from her wins and losses and have a leg up on the competition.
